How This Works
No matter the story you have to tell—a life story, an epic D&D campaign, or an international adventure—I use the same steps to help you build your Hero Story.
We establish the scope of the project and intended audience during a free initial consultation. Pricing will vary by scope of the project.
We create a Story Map to identify all major players for me to interview.
I conduct and transcribe all interviews and begin writing your Hero Story.
I review the initial direction of the Hero Story with major players, then review again once it’s close to the completion stage. These reviews will also include discussion of any scanned images, if applicable to the text.
Your Hero Story will go through an detailed copy edit of all text, images and captions.
Your Hero Story will go through a final check of page proofs.
Your Hero Story is packaged and delivered back to you.

It’s going to depend on the project! A single person’s life history may live in fragments across a dozen (or more) people. It takes time and loving care to interview everyone and find the common thread between their recollections, and turn it into a story tailored to a specific audience. A good story could come from anywhere: the delivery room, across a tabletop game, on a road trip, or on a mission. I also want to help parents cull their favorite details of their children’s lives off their social media accounts. I am happy to help you write your Hero Story from any chapter of your life!
