Meet Laurie

Laurie Stradling is a certified mediator and has a degree in Print Journalism from Brigham Young University. She has written for the New York Daily News, the Arizona Republic, the St. George Spectrum, plus a number of smaller (and more casual) publications for the web. She is currently working on her first fiction novel for publication and has a memoir in the pipeline for By Common Consent Press in Salt Lake City.

Laurie has traveled to 10 countries and 35 out of 50 of the United States. She wants to attend a World Cup match, Jaipur, Jsumago-juku, Morocco, and maybe also see Hobbiton in New Zealand and hike whatever path to Mordor they’ve still got down there. There is not enough life to see all the incredible things out there, nor to meet so many excellent people.

Speaking of excellent people, Laurie has a beloved husband and so many children, two cats and a dog. She is awash in loving family members and remains Mormon to this day, but is queer-affirming and someone you can definitely cuss around.
